Celebrating Grandparents’ Day


Every year South Kent School is happy to host Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day. This year’s joyous day commenced with a heartwarming musical performance, setting the tone for a day filled with celebration and appreciation. Talented students showcased their musical prowess, captivating the audience with melodies that echoed through the halls, symbolizing the harmonious bond between generations.

One of the highlights of the day is always the chance for grandparents and special friends to step into the shoes of South Kent students, experiencing firsthand the vibrant academic environment. Classroom visits allowed them to witness the dedication of faculty and the enthusiasm of students, providing insights into the educational journey unfolding within the school’s walls.

Over lunch, guests and students gathered around tables, savoring not only the delicious food but also the warmth of companionship and the joy of shared stories.Sharing a meal in Old Building and then a special session at the Head of School’s house has always been a cherished tradition.

In the afternoon, a delightful tea session awaited the guests, hosted by the Head of School. Amidst cups of tea and delectable treats, school stories were shared along with a vision for the future.

Beyond the scheduled events and formalities, the true essence of Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day lay in the simple yet profound act of spending quality time together. Whether engaged in lively discussions, exploring the campus, or simply enjoying each other’s company, every moment was an opportunity to strengthen the bonds between generations.
