At South Kent School, the South Kent School Parent Association (SKSPA) plays a vital role in strengthening our community — and Parent Ambassadors are at the heart of this effort. They are volunteer leaders who foster connection, support fellow parents, and partner with the School in outreach, engagement, and philanthropy.
Our Parent Ambassadors:
- Welcome New Families & Build Community (Events & Engagement)
Parent Ambassadors help welcome new families in August ahead of back to school for a Virtual Zoom Q&A and join the Parent Reception at Orientation. Ambassadors serve as friendly points of contact, helping new families feel informed, confident, and connected. Additionally, they can support Community Days, Teacher Appreciation Day & Life Lab Events. - Join Form Events & Sports Teams (Philanthropy & Fundraising)
Parent Ambassadors often take on leadership roles as team representatives and form liaisons helping to build relationships within their groups and support school initiatives such as: Senior Sports Days, Giving Tuesday & Spring for South Kent. - Amplify the South Kent Experience (Outreach & Admissions)
Ambassadors share South Kent School stories, offer feedback, and encourage engagement by participating in reviews and spreading the word about the South Kent experience as well as Open House events.

These gatherings cover everything from fundraising efforts to community events, academic programming, and student support opportunities.
