Each year, on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, people around the world join together for Giving Tuesday — a global day of generosity and community support. At South Kent School, this tradition comes to life in a special way, thanks to the leadership of our South Kent School Parent Association (SKSPA) and the energy of our families.
Parent-Led Giving, Community Impact
Giving Tuesday at South Kent isn’t just about raising funds — it’s about coming together as a community to show our shared commitment to the School’s mission and our boys. Led by the SKSPA, this annual effort invites all South Kent families to participate, regardless of the amount they choose to give. Every gift matters and every family counts.
The Form Challenge: A Tradition of Friendly Competition
A highlight of Giving Tuesday is the Form Challenge, a friendly competition to see which grade (Form) can achieve the highest percentage of family participation. Often led by Parent Ambassadors, this challenge encourages every family to join in — with the shared goal of reaching 100% participation. It’s not about how much you give, but about being part of something bigger.
Beyond Families — A Call to the Whole South Kent Community
Giving Tuesday also welcomes alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, and Friends of South Kent to join the effort. Together, we build on the legacy of generosity that has always defined South Kent, ensuring that our students have the resources, programs, and opportunities they need to thrive.
