South Kent School Alumni Book Club

The South Kent School Alumni Book Club, managed by Advancement lead Jennifer Haase, continues to provide a vibrant forum for literary discussion and alumni connection. The club’s most recent meeting, held on July 23rd, featured an engaging review of “The Secret Life of the American Musical: How Broadway Shows are Built” by Jack Viertel.

This session was particularly special, as it included the cast and crew of South Kent’s 1963 performance of “Guys and Dolls.” Attendees had the unique opportunity to delve into Viertel’s exploration of Broadway’s inner workings while reminiscing about the memorable production of “Guys and Dolls” and other performances held over the years in The Playhouse.

Interested in attending the July 23rd call or joining future meetups? Please email Jennifer Haase at [email protected] to RSVP. Once your response is received, you will be provided with the necessary call-in information. The Alumni Book Club eagerly welcomes all alumni to participate in these enriching literary discussions and community gatherings.

Join us for future sessions and be part of the ongoing dialogue that bridges past and present, fostering a deeper connection among South Kent School alumni.
