South Kent School Alumni Book Club: Connecting Through Stories
The South Kent School Alumni Book Club continues to thrive as a meaningful way for alumni to connect, reflect, and engage in thoughtful literary conversation. Led by Advancement’s Jennifer Haase, the club offers a welcoming space where books become bridges—linking generations of South Kent graduates through shared discussion and memory.
A recent highlight was the July 23rd gathering, which featured The Secret Life of the American Musical: How Broadway Shows are Built by Jack Viertel. The evening brought special energy, as members of the 1963 cast and crew of Guys and Dolls joined the call, reflecting on their time in The Playhouse while exploring the inner workings of Broadway musicals. The mix of literary insight and South Kent storytelling made for a memorable evening.
The Alumni Book Club is open to all alumni, whether you’re a lifelong reader or simply curious to join the conversation. Future titles and discussion dates will be posted on Alumni Connection, so be sure to check in regularly.
