Oscar Plandowski ’21


Oscar Plandowski is a 20 year-old defensemen who was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Plandowski became an instant sensation on the ice, as he was a member of the Team Nova Scotia program through his adolescent years. During that time, he also played for the Western Canada Selects and the All-American Prospects. In 2018, Plandowski came to South Kent to take his game to new heights. As a result, he caught many eyes in the hockey world with his 53 points as a defenseman for the 15O team

Following his 15O campaign, Oscar Plandowski went on to play in the QMJHL, making a stop with the Charlottetown Islanders from 2019-2022. As an Islander, Plandowski tallied 9 goals and 37 assists, proving he can compete with the best talent in the country. In 2021, Oscar Plandowski was selected 155th overall in the fifth round by the Detroit Red Wings. He still plays junior hockey, as he joined the Drummondville Voltigeurs for a short stint in 2022, followed by his current team, the Moncton Wildcats.
