Dominic Basse is a goaltender who grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. Basse was an instrumental piece to the 2019 18U National Championship team, getting most of the minutes in goal throughout the season. He had an incredible 1.63 goals against average and 93% save percentage. Following South Kent, Dominic Basse was drafted in the 6th round (167th overall) to the Chicago Blackhawks in 2019.
After playing a year of junior hockey with the Youngstown Phantoms, Basse went on to play collegiate hockey for Colorado College. Basse went 10-26-3 in 41 games with the Tigers, surrendering 3.20 goals per game with a .890 save percentage. In 2022, Basse entered the transfer portal and signed with the St. Cloud University Huskies. He has played for them for two years, as his numbers in net have drastically improved.
