Cameron MacDonald ’21


Cam MacDonald grew up in Toronto, Canada, playing most of his early hockey years on Canadian soil. Prior to South Kent, Cam MacDonald made appearances for the Halifax Gulls from 2016-18, racking up 68 goals on 43 assists. He also worked his way up the ranks with the Team Nova Scotia program. During his time at South Kent, Cam MacDonald recorded a whopping 72 goals and 54 assists from 2018-2019. 

His stellar play on the Hillside gave him lots of attention in the junior hockey market, as he went on to play with the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL. Macdonald had 6 goals and 14 assists with Sioux Falls, and his next stop in junior hockey was with the Saint Johns Sea Dogs. In 2021, Cam MacDonald’s dream came true, as his name was called by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 5th round (160th overall). Currently, he is playing for the Cape Breton Eagles of Quebec Maritime Junior Hockey League.
