Myles Powell grew up in Trenton, New Jersey, as he attended Medford Tech and Trenton Catholic before playing for South Kent. Powell continued to improve his ability to score the basketball, increasing his scoring average from 17 points per game his sophomore year to 25 points per game his senior year.
Myles Powell burst onto the college scene at Seton Hall, as he won two Big East awards as an underclassman: Big East All Academic Team and Big East Most Improved Player. During the 2018-19 season, Myles Powell averaged 23.1 points per game. After his senior season, Powell was named to two Big East First Teams and reached the 2,000-point club, becoming only the fifth player in school history to do so. Furthermore, Powell won Big East Player of the Year and the Jerry West Award.
Once COVID shut down the rest of the 2020 season and delayed sports events for a significant amount of time, Powell eventually signed with the New York Knicks as an undrafted free agent. He then was waived and signed with the Westchester Knicks in 2021. Following a brief stint with the Philadelphia 76ers, Powell has played for the Delaware Blue Cats, Bay Area Dragons, and the Qingdao Eagles.
