Congratulations to Connor Broderick for Winning the Town of Kent’s Park and Recreation Logo Design Competition!
We are thrilled to announce that South Kent School student Connor Broderick has won the Town of Kent, Connecticut’s Park and Recreation Department logo design competition!
In April 2024, the town launched a competition to find a fresh, new logo that would capture the essence of Kent’s parks and recreational spaces. The competition received a fantastic response from the community, with many talented individuals submitting their designs.
Connor’s creative and thoughtful design stood out among the entries, quickly catching the attention of the judges. The final decision on the winning logo was made by the students of Kent Center School, who played a significant role in selecting the design that best represents their town. The Park and Recreation Commission later approved the logo, making Connor’s design the official emblem for the department.
Matt Busse, the Director of Park and Recreation for the Town of Kent, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We would like to thank Connor for his design. His work beautifully captures the spirit of our community and will serve as a proud emblem for our parks and recreational spaces.”
Connor’s achievement is now proudly displayed on all official Park and Rec materials, from signage and uniforms to promotional items, giving the department a vibrant new look. The design approval went live August 17th, 2024.
We are incredibly proud of Connor for this outstanding accomplishment. His success not only showcases his artistic talent, but also exemplifies the values of creativity and community involvement that we foster at South Kent School. Congratulations to Connor for making a lasting impact on our town!
