South Kent Welcomes Michael Brown for MLK Day Celebration

South Kent School was honored to welcome back Michael Brown for our Martin Luther King Day all-school Holy Eucharist service, held at St. Michael’s Chapel on Monday, January 20th. A renowned musician and choir director, Michael leads Gospel choirs at Sacred Heart University and The Hotchkiss School, and serves as the organist at the First Congregational Church in Litchfield. He has been sharing his exceptional talents with South Kent School for celebration services in St. Michael’s Chapel for the past 15 years.

This year, Michael led the music for our Martin Luther King Day Eucharist, bringing his inspiring artistry to this meaningful occasion. The Hillside community joined together to honor Dr. King’s teachings, reflecting on the principles of justice, unity, and service that continue to shape our School’s values. A formal dinner followed the 5:30pm service, providing an opportunity for further fellowship and remembrance of Dr. King’s enduring legacy.
