KCNS Nursery School | South Kent School Partner


In a move to enrich educational experiences and strengthen community ties, KCNS Kent Nursery School (KCNS) and South Kent School (SKS) have embarked on an exciting new partnership. This collaboration aims to provide comprehensive nursery services for the staff and faculty families of South Kent School, while also exploring joint initiatives in agricultural science programs.

This partnership will support South Kent Staff and families with comprehensive nursery services, and KCNS as the designated and preferred South Kent Nursery, offers high-quality nursery services to the staff and faculty families of South Kent School. Operating from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm during the school year located in the center of Kent.  KCNS provides a reliable childcare option for parents within the SKS community. Furthermore, KCNS will extend its services by offering summer camps during the summer months, ensuring a year-round childcare solution for South Kent School families.

Collaborative Agricultural Science Programs
Both KCNS and SKS are committed to establishing youth education agricultural science programs in 2024. By leveraging the facilities at South Kent School, notably the South Kent Greenhouses at South Campus, and drawing upon the expertise of KCNS and SKS faculty the collaborative effort  provides valuable educational experience for the Nursery School and South Kent students.

Shared Resources, Expertise,  Community Service & Leadership
A cornerstone of this partnership is the reciprocal sharing of resources and expertise. South Kent School offers access to its state-of-the-art facilities and experienced faculty, while KCNS contributes its knowledge in early childhood education and community engagement. Through this collaboration, both institutions aim to create a more enriching and diverse educational environment for students and families alike.  As part of this partnership, South Kent School students will have the opportunity to volunteer as teachers and mentors at KCNS Kent Nursery School. This initiative not only contributes to the personal and professional development of SKS students but also serves as a valuable community service opportunity gaining a sense of responsibility, leadership, and community engagement.
