Tremont Waters is one of South Kent’s homegrown talents, growing up in nearby New Haven, CT. After spending his freshman season at Notre Dame High School in West Haven, CT, Water spent his remaining three seasons at South Kent School, where he cultivated into a prospect at the Jordan Brand Classic his senior season.
After originally committing to Georgetown University, Tremont Waters decided to recommit to Louisiana State University where he played two seasons. Waters earned Freshman All-American Honors his freshman year and First Team All-SEC Honors his sophomore year, helping the Tigers make a run to the Sweet 16 in 2019. That tournament run increased his national exposure, as he was drafted 51st overall by the Boston Celtics. After two seasons with the Celtics, Waters has also played for the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards. He also has played in the G League, winning G League Rookie of the Year in 2020. Following stops in France and Puerto Rico, Tremont Waters currently plays for the Guangdong Southern Tigers in China.
