Skyler Brind’Amour ’18

Skyler Brind’Amour was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has been a standout prospect since a young age, as he played for the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes from 2011-12 and the USA U17 and U18 teams from 2016-17. During his time with the National Teams, Brind’amour played for South Kent and totaled 22 goals and 37 assists. In 2017, Brind’Amour signed with the Chilliwack Chiefs, a member of the British Columbia Hockey League. He would go on to play with the Chiefs for two years, registering 23 goals and 45 assists.

While he played for the Chilliwack Chiefs, Skyler Brind’Amour was drafted by the
Edmonton Oilers 177th overall in the 6th round of the 2017 NHL Draft. He also committed to play collegiate hockey at Quinnipiac University, where he played from 2019-23. Brind’Amour’s best year as a Bobcat came in his senior year when he scored 14 goals with 18 assists, winning the ECAC Best Defensive Forward Award and getting named to the ECAC Third Team. Most importantly, he was an important cog in the machine of a stacked Bobcats team, as they went 34-4-3 and won the 2022-23 National Championship against Minnesota.

This season, Skyler Brind’Amour plays for the Charlotte Checkers, an affiliate of the Florida Panthers in the American Hockey League (AHL).
