Andrew Peeke spent his childhood in Parkland, Florida, as he found the love of hockey at a young age. With limited opportunities to grow his game, Peeke moved to South Kent at the age of 14 to skate with the Selects Academy. He played on the Hillside for three years and won USPHL Defensive Player of the Year before getting drafted by the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL.
Andrew Peeke would then commit to Notre Dame University to play college hockey, as he was the only 17 year old on the roster his freshman year. While at Notre Dame, Peeke won Academic All-Big Ten twice and the teams’ Defensive Player of the Year during his junior season. Also, Shane Peeke was a part of the All-Big Ten Tournament Team in 2019, a tournament that they won.
After being drafted 34th overall in the 2nd round of the 2016 NHL Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets, Andrew Peeke signed an entry level contract for three years in April of 2019. He would net his first goal on February 16, 2020 against the New Jersey Devils, as he is now in his 5th year with the Blue Jackets.
