South Kent School is thrilled to announce the next installment in our Pathways Series, featuring an extraordinary alumnus, Professor Sukehiro Hasegawa ’62. A Life of Global Impact

Professor Hasegawa has led a remarkable career as a diplomat, academic, and humanitarian. After graduating from South Kent School in 1962, he earned advanced degrees from institutions such as Stanford University and Yale University, building a foundation for an impactful career in international service. Among his many achievements, Professor Hasegawa served as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Timor-Leste, playing a pivotal role in fostering peace and nation-building efforts in the region. His work exemplifies the values of resilience, leadership, and service instilled at South Kent.
