Laurence D. Morrow was born February 11, 1952 to Golden Morrow Sr. and Adell Morrow (Forthner).

The first to attend college in his family, Laurence attained a scholarship to the prestigious Harvard University in Boston, before eventually attending Ohio State University. He ultimately attained a Master’s degree in social sciences and used his knowledge to help numerous organizations around Cleveland, Ohio serve the public. Intelligent and creative, Laurence also had a volume of his poetry turned into a book and given widespread publication.

He leaves behind his sons Faheem A.-Khabeer and Laurence D. Morrow II, his siblings “Dot”, Chris, Cynthia, Bobby- Jean, and Golden Morrow II “Button”; and a host of relatives and friends.
