Captain Kathleen Lindenmayer had a distinguished 26-year career in the United States Navy as an Intelligence Officer. Throughout her tenure, she served in a variety of domestic and overseas locations, playing a pivotal role in the evolution of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Community. Her positions included Chiefs of Intelligence, Directorships, and Officer-in-Charge, where she led operational, administrative, and technological expansions that required innovative organizational structures.
Captain Lindenmayer was instrumental in overseeing the manpower, personnel, and career education and training of a diverse cadre of U.S. Defense and international intelligence professionals. Her career highlights include senior positions with the United States European and Africa Commands in Stuttgart, Germany, the National Navy Staff at the Pentagon and the Office of Naval Intelligence, and the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C. She also supported and served with various forward-based missions in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
After transitioning from active duty in 2010, Kathleen pursued an MBA from Western Connecticut State University (WCSU). Upon graduation, she joined the Ancell School of Business as a support staff member, developing business and community partnerships, supporting specialized accreditation, and connecting the Business School with leaders at various levels. In 2016, she became the Director of the University Career Center, where she led strategic rebranding, team building, and university-wide collaboration efforts. Under her leadership, the WCSU Career Success Center developed new capabilities to support students and alumni in their career pursuits, helping them gain confidence and achieve their professional goals.
