  • South Kent School's Stockdale Arena Opens

    The Admiral James & Sybil Stockdale Arena at South Kent School was abuzz with student-athletes, fans, coaches, teachers, and alumni last week. Following construction of the state-of-the-art ice rink, along with a dedication in October featuring notable speakers such as American diplomat Dr. Henry A. Kissinger, South Kent officially opened the doors to the new facility. “We are neighbors from just down the road and we’re very proud of you,” Kissinger had said at the dedication.

  • Dr. Henry Kissinger Speaks at Stockdale Arena Dedication

    October 21st, 2014


    Many notable guests, including American diplomat Dr. Henry A. Kissinger, joined South Kent School to celebrate the dedication of The Admiral James and Sybil Stockdale Ice Arena on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Stockdale sons Sidney ’73, Stanford ’79, and Taylor ’81 all attended South Kent School.

  • Students from Kazakhstan Arrive for Cultural Exchange

    A new group from Kazakhstan was welcomed on Monday, July 21, 2014 at South Kent School. This is the second group within a year from the country to come on a cultural exchange. Like the first, proposals were sent from multiple institutions and the government of Kazakhstan selected South Kent as host school for the visit.

  • Call to Adventure Takes New Heights

    May 26th, 2014


    The Call to Adventure has taken new heights! Patrick Bonis, South Kent School’s Director of the Affinity Group program, led a group of four students to Colorado and Utah this spring. In the Call to Adventure, students are challenged to leave their comfort zones and develop the confidence to handle unfamiliar situations while simultaneously fostering a sense of stewardship for the environment.
