Additional Opportunities to support SKS

The Prize Day Challenge may be over, but there is still time to show your support for South Kent School. There are two exciting opportunities to make your gift to SKS have an even greater impact between now and June 30th, the end of our fiscal year.

“Mr. Smith Returns to the Hillside” Commitment

This year, our new Head of School, Lawrence Smith ’73, has come home to the Hillside after a long and productive career in education at some very fine schools. Lawrence is nationally renowned in secondary education for his progressive educational vision, and he feels that our program at SKS is the future of boys’ education. Lawrence is also incredibly committed to our students, faculty, and alumni, but he knows that SKS must have the help of all our constituents to push the School to the next level of educational leadership. With this in mind, and because he believes so much in the School and its mission, Lawrence has offered to contribute an additional $5 for every increased gift to the South Kent Fund.

We hope you consider joining Mr. Smith by increasing your support to the South Kent Fund this year.

$50,000 Matching Opportunity

Additionally, in honor of Mr. Smith’s return to the Hillside, a generous alumnus has stepped forward with a commitment of $50,000 to the South Kent Fund if we can raise $50,000 between now and June 30, 2019 from alumni, parents, and friends who have not contributed in the past few years.

If you have not given to the South Kent Fund in recent years, we hope you will consider doing so today. You can double the impact of your support through this exciting match.

Qualifying gifts to the Prize Day Challenge were counted towards, and were very helpful with, these support opportunities.
