Susan Gardner spent her career in the insurance industry. Most notably, she held various leadership positions within Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC) and Access Risk Services. She held the position of Managing Director in both the Global Services Practice as well as the Property Placement Group at Marsh Inc. She also held a regional management position at Guy Carpenter and Company. Prior to retiring, she was employed by Access Risk Services as a Managing Director and Senior Consultant. She has extensive experience with risk consulting, insurance and reinsurance broking, as well as global insurance program management. She graduated from South Kent School in 1980 and received a BA in Business Administration from Gettysburg College in 1984. Susan has been actively involved with several educational institutions, including the Windward School in White Plains and the Stanwich School (now Greenwich Country Day School) in Greenwich, and is a Trustee on the Board of Directors at South Kent School. In her free time, Susan is actively involved in yacht racing. She is a member of the New York Yacht Club, the North American Station, and the Stamford Yacht Club. She has served on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Stamford Yacht Club and is currently on the Nominating Committee and Race Committee. She spends much of her time volunteering on the signal boat at yacht racing events. Susan is the parent of two boys and resides in Stamford, Connecticut.
