We utilize the Packaging Depot for all of our student’s packing and shipping needs. They come to campus, pickup student boxes, and either ship them out immediately, or store them for the summer and then ship out to your next school. This company has been in business for over 17 years and is currently contracted with five other prep schools in our area.
If you decide to do any storing or shipping with The Packaging Depot you will complete ONE form. You will mark all your boxes with your name and the name of our school and they will take care of the rest. The form will ask for standard information (name, address, credit card information, etc). They will either call the telephone number you provide (or email) to verify information and charges. They will secure your boxes and ship out from their facility.
The Packaging Depot will utilize either UPS or FedEx Ground services for domestic shipments. For International students they will most likely use FedEx Express service. They complete all International Waybills, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin and SED forms (when applicable).
For any students living in Mexico customs will ask for additional information prior to shipping items home; especially clothing. You will need to provide The Packaging Depot with either a copy of your passport, student visa or airline ticket showing entrance date (has to be within 6 months). This information will travel with the Waybill and Commercial Invoice.
International Students Commercial Invoices will be completed so The Packaging Depot will inspect (and catalogue) all your items going home. Please refrain from sending any perfume, liquids, or items that are flammable.
