Engage Seminars

Environmental climate units build an understanding of the interconnectedness of our planetary systems, resources, and species, both anthropogenic and natural. We begin the term talking about water composition and quality and have groups test water in Hatch Pond, Lake Waramaug and Long Island Sound, and discussing their findings.

The Social Justice units, in a nonpartisan nonjudgmental environment, deepen students’ commitment to service and action for equality across economics, politics, and social rights, while providing opportunities for individual introspection. Gun violence has been the focus of Engage this fall.
