South Kent School is offering a test prep program for the SAT and ACT during the academic year as part of its tutoring program. This is coordinated through the College Counseling Office. Interested parents and students should contact Mr. Walter Moore or Ms. Lynn Worthington or use the [email protected] email to set this up.

Individual tutoring - This is one-on-one and will provide individualized instruction on free periods, evenings and weekends - scheduled when it is convenient for the tutor and the student. In addition to tips and testing strategies, students will go through the various testing sections through an online program, as well as other prep materials and progress will be closely monitored by the tutor to assess the student’s mastery of the tasks.

Interested parents should fill out the school’s test prep tutoring info form. The College Counseling office will then provide a contract which must be signed by the student, and tutor.

A tutor will be assigned once payment is received. A schedule will then be established with the student.

The fee is $1000 for 10 sessions of individual tutoring and must be paid in advance before commencement of tutoring services.  If it’s decided that ten sessions are not necessary, a refund will be given for the balance of sessions.  At the end of end sessions, the Student will be assessed to determine if additional tutoring is necessary.

Payment can be made online via our info form, by check, wire, your FACTS account, Flywire or other means as agreed upon with the business office.
