Please join us on April 30th for the Prize Day Challenge, our 36-hour challenge for alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends to make a donation to the South Kent School Annual Fund. Our goal is to acquire 150 gifts totaling $36,000 in 36-hours.

Patrick Beer, Third Form Dean, Humanities Teacher, and Yoga and Mindfulness Instructor at South Kent School, has received a Distinguished Alumni Award from Boston College. At a dinner and awards ceremony on Tuesday, April 16th, Patrick was honored by the college as "a graduate who embodies the Jesuit ideals of men and women for others, who pursues the greater good in all things and exemplifies care for the whole person." Former professors and colleagues were in attendance to support, celebrate, and congratulate Patrick.

Every year for Earth Day, the boys gather and clean up trash on local roadsides in conjunction with the Kent Conservation Commission. Led by head of the Call to Service Affinity Group Father Klots, the boys came together in the assembly hall to coordinate and then splitting up into groups to cover local roads from Kent to the South Kent campus to Gaylordsville, students and faculty put in quite the effort to clean and improve our earth.

They did it! Our U18 hockey team has won back-to-back USA Hockey National Championships with a 3-2 OT victory over North Jersey Avalanche in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The South Kent Selects Academy team, representing the Central Connecticut Youth Hockey Association (CCYHA), came out on top in the tournament among the 16 best Tier I Midget AAA Youth Hockey teams in the country.
