How to Apply
1. Request Information
Please complete our Online Inquiry Form or contact the Office of Admission via e-mail at admissions [at] southkentschool [dot] org, or phone us at (860) 927-3539 to request information.
2. Required Standardized Testing
All students applying for grades 9, 10, and 11 must take either the SSAT (school code: 7420), or PSAT. Applicants for grades 12 and PG must take the SAT as part of the Admission process. All students, for whom English is not their first language, are required take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language.)
3. Visiting Campus
Contact the Office of Admission to schedule a campus visit, which lasts about two hours and includes a student-led tour and an interview with a member of our admission staff.
4. Application and Supporting Forms
Complete our Online Application and submit the application to the office of admission by February 15th along with the $50 application fee ($100 for international students.) We also accept the The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) and the SSAT Common Application. After March 1, rolling admissions continues based on availability. Applying for admission to South Kent is an exciting process that takes place over the course of several months. Please contact the Office of Admission to begin the process.
February 15:
Application forms and supporting documentation are due.
March 10:
South Kent announces admission and wait list decisions.
April 10:
Students to notify South Kent with final decision.
After April 10:
Wait list candidates notified as places become available.
